Clapton & Beck to share the stage

Clapton <span class=& Beck to share the stage" width="250" height="181" />Two of the longest running ‘Guitar Gods’, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton are going to share the stage in February this year during two Japanese gigs. Although jamming on stage together on numerous ocassion befores, and even collaborating on albums, the concerts would be the first time when the two artists would be billed as partnering artists sharing equal stage time.

Both the English guitarists have lead tremendous lives, with careers sucessful enough to make any artist red with envy. Apart from sharing nationalities and occupations, the artists have also played for the same band, The Yardbirds durign the 60s (Jeff Beck replaced the exiting Eric Clapton in 1965).

The event would be one to die for, as it isn’t everyday that one gets to vitness two living legends playing on the same stage. Looks like the Japanese audiences are in for real treat.
