What’s most evident about Rock music in India? At this point in time, it’s definitely the immense competition amongst bands — -at the grass-root level as well as with the more known and established acts. Although there are a ton of good bands around, few have been able to carve a niche for themselves — -And Junkyard Groove is certainly a band that’s at the top.
It’s a tough job catering to every musicians needs in a band…and what’s worse is finding replacements for these members if their needs or WANTS..whatever you might like to call them, aren’t satisfied. Especially for a band that’s been around long enough…long enough to consider and treat each other as family. Unfortunately, drummer and one of the oldest member’s of the band, Jeremiah has finally left the band, for reasons best known to him. When questioned about the same, vocalist Ameeth said,” Jerry forgot what JYG is all about. It’s about taking care of each other — -like brothers do”. Also adding to that, he mentioned, “But we’ve found two new drummers to replace him. Both are good friends and like our music as well. We will short-list one in about a week or so from now — -and they’re both extremely talented”.
And we can’t wait to see what’s next! And, WHO’S next!!

Ironic ! i happend to read one of the thread from JYG on Orkut ( the famous JYG vs Farhad Wadia ) .. personally i felt Ameet was Axl Rose and childish in nature ( with all due respect to the great Vocal talent ) . Not surprised at all .
Does anyone cares anymore when the ‘album’ of JYG will release? There are more chances of “Chinese Democracy” hitting the Market .

JYG is one of my favourite bands…and jerry according to me is one of the better drummers around..its unfortunate though that he goes on insulting the writer of this update when all that is written is that he quit the band. Its the guilt factor.

Let me teach you something, by posting on the website what happens is that your computer has an I.P address which is unique, gets registered onto the websites server which the admins can track. By you using the same email with different names does not help. Plus dissing the admin also does not help. The problem here is that even if you use a different email address it does not make any difference. Like i said before (repeat after me) a computers I.P address is unique. As of now there are quite a few names with the same email address even the ones with different emails have the same I.P address. So all im trying to say is at least be be honest about who you are if you have something to say. And cut the bull :)

If you notice Im the first guy who worte on this page. Not that im saying im first and you guys followed but I still agree with what some ppl on this page have to say.
Doesnt Matter what Jerry is doing now as long as he is happy. And the same for Junkyard as long as they are happy.
Music is not a very easy field to be in especially in India. Alot of ppl have to think twice or thrice before doing what they love doing.
My opinion, All of the below.
Jerry, Ameeth and Vidhi are all right in their own way.

hmmm…it took all de 4 dudes to get JYG to where it is right now..!! when he was with them Jerry had definitely drummed his way thru as everybody knws! …he is..and alwayz will be an excellent drummer…n right now he prob needs to do wat he has to..coz like anybody else…he hs de right to b happy doin watever he’s doin..internal politics or watever…it wudve taken a lot for him to finally quit..Jz wanna wish all de luck to Jerry, Shruti and de Extramentals!! Gud luck to JYG too!! Hope ur new drummers r gonna do u gud and help replace Jerry! coz Jerry inevitably is a definition of ‘TALENT’!!!!

We have also moved on found another drummer as of now Maynard Grant a very experienced and really good drummer….. We have all seemed to have found our stride in the band and are practicing very hard. We have 5 shows coming up first of which is in Chennai on the 26th at Speed. So if ur in town please do drop in and see how good or bad we are. And again give it a break.
