One of India’s better guitarists, Dhruv Ghanekar will release his debut solo album ‘Distance’ this month. The musician will launch his album on the 22nd of January at his very own Blue Frog Club. The album would obviously be under the Blue Frog Records label.
The album has been described as being a bridge between the world of Jazz music on one end and Indian classical music on the other, which would make perfect sense considering Dhruv’s past learning’s and experiences, both as a disciple of the Sarangi great Sultan Khan and a Jazz student at the Berkeley College of Music.
‘Distance’ would be a welcome change over having Dhruv being recognised as the music director for the movie ‘Dhrona’.
