One of the most celebrated names in Jazz music, trumpet legend Freddie Hubbard is no more. In a career touching six decades, Freddie worked with the who’s who of Jazz including Wes Montgomery, George Benson, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis amongst a lengthy list.
Playing in the great Jazz years, Freddie marked his trade mark sound, and became a leader rather than just a follower. He worked with the Kings of his time supporting them, and later going on to become a great bandleader in his own right.
Freddie was seventy years old.
