Motherjane & Demonic to open for Opeth

 Motherjane <span class=& Demonic to open for Opeth" width="400" height="231" />

Kochi based progressive band Motherjane and Demonic metal band, Demonic Resurrection have been confirmed to open for Opeth at Saarang 2009 (IIT-Chennai) on the 25th of January.

With Motherjane ready to dish out some progressive numbers in their typical Indianised style from their album ‘Maktub’ and DR making an eagerly anticipated return to stage after a long hiatus , Saarang-2009  promises to be 4 hours of complete musical mayhem. 18 year old prodigy Daniel Rego will be making only his third appearance for DR on the 25th, and it will be the first chance for many to see his fresh face.

In other news not too far away from Chennai, Krptos, PDV and a host of other bands will be opening for Iron Maiden on the 15th of February at Bengaluru.

Finally we can get to see some Indian Metal acts tear open the stage for massive International Metal headliners. So I guess that means we can be all warmed up with the moshing madness during the performance of our home bred bands, before Opeth and Maiden take centre-stage. :) Although the Christmas and new year celebrations concluded not too long ago, it seems that the festivities are only just beginning for metalheads all over India.

Hahaha Roshabh , lets call it post distortion syndrome … ( Kidding )

Demonic without resurrection ( at title ) sounds like Dominic without erection …

Daniel Rego was resurrected at Resurrection VII , chordvine missed it big time because ’ we cover what we want to cover )

As for “to see some Indian Metal acts tear open the stage ” … the majority of posers who gonna invade the Palace ground/saarang wearing that stupid black tee … are gonna boo every Indian band out there … just as what happened to “Millenium” and others at Megadeth show . SO the ‘indian bands’ should tie their ‘lungi’ firmly to this event.

hey Grey!! Lol, yes you can call it the post Distortion syndrome.
And yes, well spotted. DR have already done 2 gigs with Daniel, one was ‘Resurrection’ as you mentioned and the other one was ‘Tribute to the beast’. I’ve made the neccessary change.
Hopefully, people will show some respect to the Indian bands this time ‘round…. I atleast expect the crowds in Chennai to be well-behaved….

Daniel Rego is DR’s new guitarist. He’s 18 and supposed to be insane, people say his fingers move at the speed of lightning
