Musical tribute to the armed forces

Friday the 26th of December will mark exactly one month since the terror attack on South Mumbai. To honour the brave men in uniform who laid down their lives in the line of fire, some of India’s most highly acclaimed musicians will get together to pay their tribute.

Musical heavyweights such as Talat Aziz, Shivkumar Sharma, Shankar Mahadevan, Ustad Rashid Khan, Anup Jalota, Pankaj Udas, Anuradha Paudwal, Sonu Nigam, Jaswinder Narula and some more artists would comprise the artist list. Beyond the musical front Shabana Azmi, husband Javed and veteran actor Farooque Sheikh will chip in with their poetic contributions.

The venue for the event would be the Rampart Row Hall in Kala Ghoda, an area very close to where theĀ  heat of the action was.
