 Rahman grabs the Golden Globe

A R Rahman has finally done it. The musical genius from the South, has grabbed the Golden Globe award, for Best Original Musical Score at the 66th Golden Globe awards, for his work in the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”. The movie directed by Danny Boyle, has won three other prestigious awards besides Rahman’s handsome win, including the Best director, Best Writer and the award for the Best Motion Picture Drama.

Rahman’s win makes him the first Indian to grab a Golden Globe award for Best Music Score, and it also most definitely makes him the uncrowned king of Indian music.

In other news, Rahman also managed to win the award for the Best Composer, at the 14th annual Critic’s Choice Award on friday the 9th of January.
