Rahman releases Nokia Connections

A. R. Rahman has just released his album in collaboration with Nokia. The album titled “Nokia Connections” released for Nokia Xpress Music devices, will also have songs from the album preloaded onto Xpress Music phones that will hit the market in January 2009.

The album is an exclusive for Nokia products, and will feature songs influenced by different schools of music from around India, thus complying with the Nokia slogan “Connecting People,” in some ways.

This isn’t Rahman’s first venture with Nokia, as he also worked with them on previous promotion campaigns including a remix contest where contestants had to send in their own remixes of a Rahman composition.

Feautured on the album would be percussionist Shivamani, punjabi singer Sukhwinder and rapper Blaaze. There is also a music video which is to be released from the album.
