For years, people have heard him add spice to the music that we hear. For years, he has performed at mammoth events to enthralled audiences pushing them to their seats by his showmanship. Now finally, music observers would get a chance to experience Siva in a truly un- adulterated form. The percussionist from the South has just launched his debut studio album titled “Mahaleela”.
Siva has performed as a guest on countless albums over the years, and it seems the time to pay back the favour has come. Sharing musical space with the percussionist on the 12 track album would be some of India’s finest.
The instrumental section of the band is strengthen by the presence of Ustad Zakir Hussain on the tabla, Naveen Kumar on flute and Leeladri Kumar on the sitar. The album is not entirely an instrumental affair, as vocalists Hariharan and Shankar Mahadevan would be making their appearances on the album along with other singers.
