Slumdog Millionaire nominated for the Oscars

The Oscar nominations for Slumdog Millionaire have come as no surprise. But what’s extremely credible is the fact that the music has been nominated for the Oscars too. After bagging the Golden Globe for Best Original Film Score, Rahman managed two nominations - the first for Best Music Score and the second for Music (Song- For his songs ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘O…Saya’).

These are only two among eigth other nominations which include Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Cinematography, Directing, Film Editing and Writing (Adapted Screenplay).
