SUNBURN ‘09- Line up, Tickets.

 SUNBURN 09- Line up, Tickets.

It’s that time of the year, when the whole of electronic-loving India, begins to salivate at the proposition of our one and only world-class EDM festival. Sunburn 2009 is just a mere 30 odd days away.

Scheduled to take place from 27th to 29th of December, this year’s festival promises to put the minor disappointments of last year—which was plagued with a host of problems from headliners disappearing to reduced crowds because of terrorism on 26/11—away. No such problems appear this time, as Percept and Nikhil Chinapa have pulled a mini-coup of sorts with two simple names that made me and the rest of electronic India drool.

Armin van Buuren.

Roger Sanchez.

Arguably the best trance (Officially No #1 on DJMag polls) DJ in the world and the most loved house legend coming to India. In Goa. Near 31st. Its pure delirium.

With headlining acts such as these, we expect a surge of first-timers and loyalists to throng to the festival this year just to lap up these legends and their infectious vibes.

Of course the festival spans a massive three full days with two venues, Sunburn on the Beach and Sunburn AfterDark with over thirty artists ranging from a collection of the best DJs from the iconic Gatecrasher at their namesake stage with John 00 Fleming + friends along with a host of Indian and international talent such as Sied Van Riel (!!!), Sultan (:O), Arno Cost and Norman Doray, Pearl, Jalebee Cartel (live), Ma Faiza, Brute Force, Vachan Chinnappa, Sanjay Dutta, Janux, Tatva Kundalini, BLOT, Baba Robjin, Karan, Bhoj, Shy-O, DJ Jayant, DJ Ajit, Nawed Khan, Dave Lee, Whosane!, Clement, Rebel Royal, Greg Pidc**k, DJ Siren and many more yet to be announced.

The On the Beach segment starts at a sunny 12PM and ends at 10PM, after which you’re left with one hour to replenish your senses for a pulsating into-the-wee-hours-of-day session at Butter, a superclub located close to the venue in Candolim for the AfterDark sessions.

And after the early bird tickets got lapped up like hot milk on a cool day, the regular priced tickets are up for grabs on http://in.bookmyshow.com/concerts/sunburn/ which is a simple way of getting your tickets. Book now otherwise prices shoot up as you get closer to the fest.
