Ozzy’s Greatest Part III

Ozzy has always made wise decisions when it came to choosing his guitarists. All the guitarist that have been in partnership with Ozzy, at least for a considerable amount of time have attained the status of guitar gods. Ozzy’s present guitarist Zakk Wylde has been the longest serving, in the long list of Ozzy guitarists. With a phenomenal command of the pentatonic scale, Zakk has held his own and has not been overshadowed by the mighty Ozzy guitarists of the past…

Miracle Man

Miracle Man was the first taste the world received of Ozzy’s new recruit. The song could rank right up their with the greatest Ozzy tracks of all times. Yes the Sabbath days included.

Breaking All The Rules

Breaking All The Rules may not be Ozzy’s heaviest track, but it included some great vocals on Ozzy’s part and even greater fancy fretwork from Zakk’s end. A winning formula by all counts.

No More Tears

The track is possibly the best track Ozzy has recorded with Zakk. The song is a good way to understand the change in sound that Zakk brought into Ozzy’s music, where speedy riffs were no longer a priority, instead Zakk focused on how to fill the audio landscape more creatively.

Mama, I’m Coming Home

Mama, I’m Coming Home, was an uncharacteristic song from Ozzy which helped him reach out to an audience which was untapped until then. The power ballad would become one of the greatest rock anthems of all time soon after its release.

Road To Nowhere

Road To Nowhere, features an Ozzy Osbourne at the height of his maturity as a songwriter. The song continues in Ozzy’s trend of singing about his recovery from his wild side.

I Don’t Wanna Stop

I Don’t Wanna Stop, sounds fresh and unlike any Ozzy Osbourne track, barring the Pentatonic abuse obviously. The drumming pattern used on the track adds a very modern outlook to the track.

Black Rain

The title track to Ozzy’s 2007 release brings back found memories of the Black Sabbath days, and that means the track can be described by only one word — EVILLL!!

Looking forward to another forty years from the Prince of Darkness..
