Les Paul tribute album
While Les Paul may be more famous for the guitar he gave his name to, there is no denying that this legendary musician has had tremendous influence not just on instruments but on musicians too. The 93 year old jazz guitarist and innovator can be still be found playing the eponymous guitar on Monday nights in Manhattan. What many don’t know, though, is that Les Paul is also responsible for inventing the multi-track recording process, the reverb and delay effects, and the solid body electric guitar itself. Paul’s contributions have forever changed the landscape of music and defined the sound of Rock ‘N Roll.
Therefore, it is only fitting that a tribute album to him: Les Paul & Friends - A Tribute To A Legend, be released on September 30. Featuring top artists around today, such as Slash, Joe Bonamassa, Richie Sambora, Joe Perry, Peter Frampton, Jeff Golub, as well as vocalists Joan Osborne, Edgar Winter, Mick Hucknall from Simply Red, Johnny Rzeznik, Lisa Fischer, and many others; it’s produced by produced by Bob Cutarella, who has earlier been a producer to people like Eric Clapton, Sting, Joss Stone, Alison Krauss, Jeff Beck.
