lounge piranha is a gimmick! what a load of crap! and isn’t this writer the same chick…that videographer who hovers around them all the time? dude, i LIVED in Bangalore for 8 years….there’s a reason why this band’s album is called “going nowhere”…it takes more than green eyes to fool a crowd! and the psychedelia stunt does not add ANY value to their music.
=( can’t one read some honest reviews for once? something that’s NOT written by friends/fans/girlfriends/wives maybe? =(

@ Mahua: I don’t know what’s so fake about Lounge? I saw them live at the Blue Frog in Mumbai last year and they put up a great show! But anyway…maybe you should check out the site properly…Hipnotribe, Dhruv, Wanny Angerer+Suchet Malhotra….all very good. There’s more in the pipeline…!

@vidhi: you saw ONE performance by LP, I’ve had the misfortune of having seen many (usually by accident)…poor me!

@ Caustic Kaushik : It’s like this…some people like certain bands and others don’t. Like you know, some people like Minge and some people don’t! Let’s just leave it at that! I’m sure they’re not sooooooo hated also! And one show ….one tight show says a lot especially if we don’t see them often in Bombay. Fact remains, I didn’t get bored, liked the music and all that! And pretty much everyone in the audience did…!

fyi, ONE performance says absolutely nothing about a band/musician. it’s the consistency that counts. anyway, take it if you’re open to opinions of others and if not, too bad. this is the internet…this is bound to happen!

LOL. You’re funny! I’m very open to opinions….:) And yes, it might be true that one performance says nothing about a band but like I said, we don’t get to see them everyday unlike you! Maybe I’ll change my mind if they did play bad shows…! Anyhoo, this is the internet…and yes, this is bound to happen! :)
